After keeping the books for several small businesses, Greg Merchant was finally ready to go public and start marketing his bookkeeping services. He wanted a simple, bookkeeping web design that would support his in-person networking efforts.
SEE HOW WE DID IT
There are a lot of do-it-yourself bookkeeping services, so we focused our research on understanding what motivates a small business owner to hire out. Then, we worked to create unique content to address the main reasons we found and show how GMB was the solution to each.
A simple one-page website is often the right choice for solopreneurs who are just starting out. It lets you establish your digital presence while keeping your web design affordable. And because most businesses change direction a few times in the beginning stages, keeping your initial website simple can make a lot of sense.
WordPress powers around 40% of the internet for reasons like speed, customization, security, integrations, and cost-effectiveness. It’s one of the best platforms out there, and for clients like Greg who are comfortable navigating a more complex setup, it’s usually our top choice.
Greg was planning to do most of his initial marketing by networking with the business owners he already knew. So, he needed a logo and business card that would help him stand out. He wanted his logo to be unique and interesting but also represent his trustworthy, by-the-books approach to bookkeeping. See how we did it →
As you get ready to launch your business into the digital world, you’ll need to make some decisions about what you want your business to accomplish, who you want to work with, and how you are going to communicate with them. As a part of this process, we worked with Greg to create the buyer personas we would use to craft his website messaging.
Because this is such a key part of any business’s success, we’re happy to share our Branding Guide for free. You can download it here →
