When authors Aaron and Elaina Sharp landed an agent, they came to us for help developing their brand and logo. We worked with them to refine how they talked about the books they wrote and how they would visually represent their brand. We also conducted audience research and a survey to help them refine those choices. Ultimately, they wanted a simple brand logo design that would represent them as authors without boxing them into a specific genre or specialty.
We always provide several options when we’re designing a custom logo, but this one was an immediate favorite. The simplicity of the typewriter key and vintage font represented everything they wanted for their logo. Elana’s favorite color was seafoam green. So for the logo, we paired it with a deep yellow-brown to emphasize the feeling of ancient wisdom passed down to the next generation.
